An elk was dragged out of the radioactive reservoir in the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Pripyat. This was reported on the Facebook-page press center of Main Department of National Police of Ukraine.
Publication states that animal was in a contaminated technical water reservoir between the fourth and fifth power units of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It happened «under strange circumstances».
To help mysterious moose staff of National Police, the State Emergency Service and employees of the radiation-ecological biosphere reserve rushed. Risking their lives, people swam to animal on boat. The moose, lost consciousness, was dragged by horns onto land.
At this point animal is not in danger.
Earlier Journalist reported that fisherman caught the skull of 10- thousand- years’ old ancient moose.
