Rescuers liquidated a spill of 1.5 kilograms of mercury at one of the enterprises in Cherkassy. This information is provided by the press service of the State Administration of Emergency Situations in the Cherkassy Oblast.
The report notes that 1.5 kilograms spill and 5 rubber flasks with a toxic substance totals 9 kilograms was found on the territory of the SE Cherkassygazstroy.
According to the rescuers, this amount of mercury, that was simultaneously seized at the site of the accident, is the largest this year.
The collected toxic substance was transferred for disposal to Dobrobut Eco-Ukraine LLC.
As The Journalist reported earlier, 56-year-old German had poisoned his colleagues at the plant, pouring highly toxic powder into the food.
