Ukrainians paid twice as much in taxes for elite cars this year

Owners of luxury cars in January-July 2018 paid to local budgets UAH 97.2 million of transportation tax, which is 2.3 times higher than the figure for the same period last year.

As reported by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS), most often citizens paid a transport tax for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Audi and Land Rover Range Rover car brands.

The SFS reminded that the object of taxation are cars not older than five years with an average market value of more than 375 minimum wages, and the tax rate is UAH 25 thousand per year.
