According to the Austrian «Kurier» news agency, Kurtz wants to «deepen good bilateral political, economic and cultural ties.»
«In the framework of the Austrian presidency [in the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2018 – ed.], our goal is to make a positive contribution to reducing the tension on our continent. Security and stability in Austria and the EU also depend on stability throughout the region, and Ukraine is undoubtedly one of such countries,» – Kurtz stressed.
It is noted that during the visit Kurtz will hold a meeting with the Ukrainian president. At the talks, the parties will focus on bilateral relations and the domestic political situation in Ukraine, with special emphasis to the situation in Donbas.
Also Kurtz will hold a short meeting with the Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.
