Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena Zerkal stated that there can be no question of denunciation of the treaty with Russia on shared use of the Azov Sea.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated this on its Twitter.
«Deputy Minister Zerkal within the framework of the Meeting of Ambassadors-2018 stated that Ukraine will not renounce its treaty with Russia because it will give Russia an opportunity to declare a territorial dispute. For us, it is a matter of security, therefore we are using the available instruments to resolve the issue,» – reads the note.
Recall that, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov, the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation considers the Azov-Black Sea region as an important springboard for further expansion.
As The Journalist reported, Turchynov said Ukraine to allocate about UAH 200 billion for defense, security in 2019.
