Four bicycles were stolen and one bicycle rental point was destroyed in Kyiv

During the first 10 days of operating of the public bike rental service, four bicycles were stolen and one of the points near the Heroiv Dnipra metro station in Kyiv was destroyed.

According to the press service of the KCSA, one stolen bike has later been found on the electronics market for sale.

«Two bicycles were stolen in two weeks after the bike rental service started to operate in Kyiv. One of them was found. Thieves took off his wheels. They removed all the mechanisms and prepared to paint the frame. We found a bicycle at one of the electronics markets of the capital, – said the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko. – Unfortunately, cases of thefts and vandalism still occur. We still have people who do not want to live in a civilized city. And we will change this situation. We will accustom them. There were also cases when some peoples wanted to steal a bicycle, but these people were detained already.»
