President Petro Poroshenko said that he will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on amendments to the Constitution on the course of Ukraine, oriented towards the EU and NATO. The president announced this before the start of the parade dedicated to the 27th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
The bill on Ukraine’s aspiration to join the EU and NATO will have been registered by the autumn session of the Verkhovna Rada
«I will insist on consolidating this aspiration to join the European Union and NATO in the Constitution. Lawyers found a formula for doing this optimally and quickly,» – Poroshenko noted.
The President noted that all possible actions will be taken to ensure that the draft will be adopted and its provisions will be implemented.
