Ukrainian customs officers detained a truck with timber banned for export at the Krakovets custom checkpoint. This reports head of State fiscal service Myroslav Prodan on his page on Facebook.
According to Prodan, a batch of timber was transported at the Krakovets customs checkpoint, which was transported by a truck. According to the declaration, the car transported to Poland more than 20 tons of goods from ordinary wood worth € 8.6 thousand.
Customs officers had suspicions of falsifying cargo data, and the examination eventually showed that the products in the truck were made from acacia, which belongs to valuable and rare breeds which export is prohibited.
