As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Anwar Gargash as part of the Third Meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian- the Emirates Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (August 16-17, 2018).
«Parties discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, identified priority areas of cooperation for an earlier period. Particular attention was paid to the issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations», message says.
It is known that ministers signed Memorandum of Cooperation between Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Gennadyi Udovenko at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Emirates Diplomatic Academy under Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
As the press service of the Foreign Ministry notes, Pavlo Klimkin and Anvar Gargash joined the opening ceremony of the Center for the Study of the Arabic Language at Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
As previously reported by The Journalist, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the Foreign Ministry to transmit the report to the European Commission on the implementation of Ukraine’s visa requirements.
