Lithuania will allocate about EUR 1 million in 2019 to support the war affected Donbas, said the head of the Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian State Administration, Oleksandr Kuts.
«Next year Lithuania’s government plans to allocate about a million euros from the budget to support Ukraine. A fundamental decision on this matter has already been made,» – Kuts said, citing the Lithuania’s Ambassador to Ukraine Marius Janukonis.
According to the Ambassador, Lithuania wants to send funds to support settlements that have suffered from Russian armed aggression. The parties also discussed the list of facilities that need financing, including schools, water pipes, checkpoints.
«The final decision what to support will be accepted by the Lithuanian Government,» – said Kuts.
As The Journalist reported, Canadian rifles would be transferred to Ukraine in fall.
