Seasonal fluctuations in the currency market of Ukraine this year have been aggravated by the psychological factor, as the business tried to buy currency before the beginning of these fluctuations.
This was stated by the Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Oleh Churii, transfers Radio NB.
Thus, in almost all countries of the world (where the floating of exchange rate exist), exchange rate formation depends on several factors as exports, imports, capital account receipts, repayment of borrowings and psychological factors.
«Looking at the dynamics of the exchange rate over the past few years, we can see that the seasonal fluctuations in 2016 began in September, in 2017 – in August, and this year – in July, as the business tried to buy currency at the beginning of the fluctuations, focusing on the dynamics of last year. That is, the psychological factor played a role here,» – Churii stressed.
Answering the question about the reasons for the depreciation of the euro rate, the deputy head of the National Bank said that the euro is influenced by various of different factors.
