Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Germany in September, where he will meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. This is reported by Deutsche Welle news agency.
As it became known, Erdogan’s meeting with Steinmeier will be held on September 28 – 29.
This will be the first trip to Germany for the President of Turkey since 2014, when he became the Head of the country.
The report notes that the Head of the German state, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will meet Erdogan with military honors. In addition, the state banquet will be held at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin.
According to some information, the details of Erdogan’s visit are still being agreed. The date of his meeting with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, is not announced yet.
As The Journalist reported earlier, the Turkish President promised to impose sanctions against US officials.
