In Ukraine famous director died

Famous actor and director of Podol Theater 66-year-old Ihor Slavinskyi has died.

Theater critic Oleg Vergelis has reported on his Facebook page.

Director was ill for a long time, but even despite illness and unbearable heat, he continued to work and went to Mykolaiv to stage a performance.

Recall that Slavinskyi was born on February 7th, in 1953. Since 2008, he held the post of director of Podol Theater. Slavinskyi also staged performances in other theaters, played roles and taught acting in Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University on the course of Mykola Rushkovskyi. He also has about 50 roles in TV shows and films. In 2018 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Ukraine.
