An explosive device has detonated outside the building of the Embassy of the United States of America in Beijing.
This was reported by representative of the US Embassy in Beijing, CNN informs.
«A small amount of debris can be seen at the site. Explosion occurred at 1:00 p.m. local time (8:00 a.m. Kyiv time) today, July 26. The area near the embassy (in the area of the Chinese capital Chaoyang) is still blocked,» – the report said.
According to the spokesperson of the US embassy, the man who has detonated the explosive device, was only person who injuring himself but no one else. Nothing is known about his health condition so far.
Witnesses of the incident say that a large cloud of white smoke rising from the area around the embassy.
