Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, and Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, met in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse (Beijing). This is reported by UNN news agency.
It is reported that after meeting end, each side made a statement on the importance of cooperation and success in the strategic partnership between the EU and China.
«The EU and China need to strengthen strategic contacts and cooperation, defend international economic relations and rule-based free trade system, jointly defend an open type world economy, promote liberalization and simplification in trade and investment,» – Xi Jinping said.
In turn, Tusk and Junker have said that cooperation within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the EU and China is very important. Both sides intend to expand cooperation in all spheres and to carry out close contacts and coordination in international affairs.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, European Council President Donald Tusk stated that the so-called Ukrainian amendment to the law on the National Memory Institute of Poland is an «unreasonable approach».
