Reproductive clinic with children for export abroad was discovered in Kyiv

In Kyiv a reproductive clinic was discovered, where surrogate mothers gave birth to children for export abroad, said the chairman of the National Police Serhiy Knyazev.

Under the pretense of rendering services for conducting assisted reproductive technologies by the surrogate motherhood method, malefactors for several years recorded foreign citizens by the parents of children born in Ukraine. Based on these documents, foreigners exported children abroad. The police identified the identity of several hundred surrogate mothers who use the services of the exposed clinic.

Also, the illegal activity of a 41-year-old foreigner was exposed. It is established that this man during 2011-2018 in the clinic he created on the basis of forged documents recorded foreign citizens by the parents of newborn citizens of Ukraine.
Based on these documents, violators received birth certificates for children, and subsequently – permission to move babies through the state border of Ukraine as non-resident foreigners of Ukraine. Then the participants of the transaction committed one of the forms of human trafficking – an illegal agreement, the object of which are juvenile children.

In particular, the Italian couple in October 2011 took the child to Italy, paying the medical center €32 thousand, and the surrogate mother – €6 thousand.

As reported by «Journalist» an employee of the congregation «Missionaries of Charity» was arrested for selling the baby.
