Today (July 16), a meeting between US and Russian presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin began in the Finnish capital.
According to news.liga agency, the US and Russian presidents have began their one-to-one meeting.
Earlier Trump said, that the heads of state will discuss through a lot of political issues – on everything from trade to military to missiles, to nuclear, to China. Also, the US president noted that the United States and Russia «did not get on well» in recent years.
In turn, Putin spoke briefly and said that «the time has come to talk thoroughly about bilateral relations as well as various hotspots in the world».
The one-to-one presidents talk will take a half and an hour, but there are no restrictions. The meeting began an hour later, due to Mr Putin was late for meeting. So, when the countries leaders will finish the negotiations is unknown.
Note that security measures were increased in Helsinki. In particular, in the building where negotiations are taking place, samples of water and food are taken for members of delegations. Also, guards check toilets, and presidents (which is more likely) will use specially prepared restroom.
