**President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, regards President Vladimir Putin as a rival, but not an enemy **.

The US President noted that if someone asks if Putin is his enemy, he will reply that «he is not my enemy».
«Is he a friend? No. I do not know him well enough. But several times, when I had the opportunity to meet with him, we found a common language very well. You saw it», Trump said.
«He represents Russia. I represent the United States. He is not my enemy, and I will hope that one day he will become a friend. It can happen, but I do not know it well enough», Trump explained.
