Gas costs in Ukraine are expected to increase 25 percent by the end of the year

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) expects raise tariffs for natural gas by 25 percent this year, as the deputy head of the NBU, Dmitry Sologub, stated.

«We expect that the price for gas and public utilities will increase approximately 25 percent this year», – Sologub said.

According to him, the impact of this increase on the inflation rate will amount to 0.9 percentage points, UNIAN news agency reported.

As «The Journalist» reported, Vadim Rabinovich said that the Ukraine’s gas extraction must be returned to the people in order to reduce tariffs fourfold.
