Protesters clashes with police in attempt to break through into the Kyiv city council meeting

Today, July 12, law enforcement officers and activists, protesting against the increase in prices for public transport have fought running battles in the Kiev city state administration.

This was reported by the journalist Alexander Rudomanov on his Facebook page.

The protesters entered the building of the KCSA, where the session of the city council was held and trying to break through into the conference hall. The law enforcement officers tried to stop the protesters.
Because of the clashes, the city council was forced to leave for a break.

Recall that the fare in metro and above-ground transport in Kiev will rise up to UAH 8 from July 14 . Now cost of a single trip by subway costs UAH 5, trolleybuses, buses and trams – UAH 4.
