According to the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, since the beginning of 2018 there were 60 victims of botulism, 4 of them died.
According to the report, Ukraine has received 12 doses of serum against botulism as humanitarian aid.
«As of July 5, Ukraine has received a high-quality Canadian-produced serums, which are necessary to ensure the possibility of immediate treatment of cases of botulism. Patients who became ill with botulism, were given antitoxin within the shortest possible period. Now their condition is reported as stable. These 12-dose serums were delivered on June 25 as humanitarian aid under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in response to a request from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine,» – the Center for Public Health reports.
