President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani has signed a decision to grant Ukraine a EUR 1 billion macrofinancial assistance. This is stated in the message of the Ukraine’s Ambassador in Belgium, Representative in the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, Mykola Tochytskyi, on Twitter.
«Decision of the EP and the Council providing the macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 1bn has been signed today (July 4 – ed.) by President Tajani and the Head of Austria on the eve of 20th Ukraine-EU summit. Thanks a lot for the support to all friends of Ukraine in the EU!» – the message said.
As «The Journalist» reported, EU has provided to Ukraine the most intensive financial assistance in total amount of € 13 billion.
