Works on elimination of flood consequences in Chernivtsi region will cost at least UAH 60 million

According to the chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Oleksandr Fischuk, at least UAH 60 million needed to restore damages caused by floods impact. This is reported by Ukrinform.

«Today, the situation is more stabilized, – assured Mr Fischuk. – People were evacuated from flooded houses on time. The flood waters had receded. But the groundwater rose significantly. All districts must provide a loss statement. And amount of loss is not less than UAH 60 million for sure. Than we will prepare and send a letter to the Government with a request to allocate funds from the reserve fund of the State Budget for elimination of flood consequences in Bukovyna», – Mr Fischuk stated.

The Department of Finance of the Chernivtsi region should consider the possibility of allocating funds for the respective purposes from the reserve fund of the regional budget.
