«Naftogaz» will appeal to the Court of Appeal of Sweden to cancel the suspension of the decision of the Stockholm Arbitrage

The national joint-stock company «Naftogaz» of Ukraine plans to file an additional appeal to the Svea County Court of Appeal for suspending execution of the Stockholm arbitrage.

This was reported in the press service of the company.

According to the information, the appellate court decided to reconsider its previous decision to suspend the execution of actions on the decision of the Stockholm arbitration on the transit contract between «Naftogaz» and «Gazprom», but the statement by «Gazprom» that the court left its previous decision unchanged does not correspond reality.
The court upheld the temporary suspension of enforcement actions on the monetary claims of «Naftogaz» for other reasons.

«Today (June 28th – Ed.) The company was not able to provide its counterarguments for these reasons. «Naftogaz» plans to file an additional appeal with a statement of these facts and hopes to review the latest decision», it was reported.
Also in «Naftogaz» stressed that the current decision is not binding to the courts of other jurisdictions. Accordingly, «Naftogaz» will continue its actions to recover «Gazprom’s» debts in other jurisdictions.

As the «Journalist» reported, English court froze the assets of «Gazprom» at the petition of "Naftogaz".
