As «The Journalist» reported, Maria Gaidar resigned as a deputy of the Odessa Regional Council.
The Odesa region assembly said that it has relieved Gaidar of her duties as a lawmaker at her request.
The deputies adopted the corresponding decision today, June 12, at a session meeting.
The issue was put on the agenda because Gaidar submitted a relevant statement. Gaidar was elected in a multi-member constituency on the electoral list of the Odessa territorial organization of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc «Solidarity»
Maria Gaidar was absent at the session. The regional election commission determined that the place of the former Russian public figure will be taken by the candidate of the regional council – Yuri Basyuk. At the meeting he was immediately declared acting deputy.
