A global action #SaveOlegSentsov with demand to release Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov will be held in different countries of the world on June 1-2. This is reported on «SaveSentsov» Twitter page, where action organizers report the most important information about the filmdirector, and on the planned events.
According to preliminary information, activists and non-indifferent citizens from the United States, Israel, Canada, Russia, Germany, Poland and many other countries will took part in the worldwide protest action in support of Oleh Sentsov, who declared an indefinite hunger strike.
As the organizers noted, the time frame of the action was chosen taking into account the start of the 2018 World Cup in Russia from 14 June to 15 July.
«We will put a red card for Putin’s regime that illegally holds people behind bars», – the action organizers wrote on Twitter.
As «The Journalist» reported Oleh Sentsov continues hunger strike, despite persuasion of Russian prosecutor’s office to stop it.
