Ukraine will urge the world community to work actively on the deployment of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This is reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine.
«Military, information, economic and cyber and economic aggression of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation and long-term military operations in the east of our country force us to declare the need for a peacekeeping mission in certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions», – PM Volodymyr Groysman stated.
It is noted that the introduction of peacekeepers to Ukraine is complicated by the necessity to obtain the approval of the aggressor state in the UN Security Council, with whom Ukraine has «a different vision of this mission».
«I am confident that with the support of the international community and thanks to the courage of our fighters, we are able to return peace to Ukraine and restore the territorial integrity of the country», – Mr Groysman noted.
As «The Journalist» reported, a 15-year-old schoolgirl was killed during the shelling by separatists.
