Deputies of the Dnipro City Council passed a detox bill banning sale of alcohol at night. The corresponding decision was made on May 23, during the 32nd regular session of the City Council.
Additionally, sales of beer (except for nonalcoholic), alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks and table wines will be restricted to 22:00 pm to 7:00 am in supermarkets, shops and kiosks.
In accordance with the law, the sale of alcohol will be prohibited at festivals, concerts and any public events.
The execution of this decision will be monitored by the City Council inspection on the improvement issues. Violators will be deprived of license to sell alcohol.
Deputies of the City Council are convinced that the banning sale of alcohol at night will help to reduce the crimes, committed in an intoxicated state at this time of day.
