Heather Neuert made a statement on the military operations in the east of Ukraine. This was reported by «Liga».
Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Heather Nauert stated, that this has been one of the most violent weeks of the year. Five Ukrainian soldiers are now dead and 23 have been wounded.
«Russia has claimed it wants to protect Russian speakers, but as our Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations, Kurt Volker has pointed out on numerous occasions, there’s nowhere in the world more dangerous for Russian speakers right now than in eastern Ukraine», — Heather Nauert underlined.
The US State Department Spokesperson noted that civilians and the Donetsk filtering station were shelled by Russian-backed militants.
«While Russia perpetuates the violence in eastern Ukraine by pouring money, soldiers, and resources into the region, the Russian economy continues to stagnate», – Ms Nauert stated.
As «The Journalist» reported, the envoy of the US Department Kurt Volker stated the negative consequences of Russian aggression for the food, economic and environmental situation in Donbas.
