The EU Council: the next elections to the European Parliament will be held on May 23–26, 2019

The European Council approved the next European elections to be held on May 23-26, 2019.

This was stated in the message on official website of the European Council.

«The Council today adopted a decision setting 23 to 26 May 2019 as the dates for the next European Parliament elections», – the message said. The dates were agreed unanimously by the Council after consulting the European Parliament.

Note, that according to the 1976 Electoral Act, European parliamentary elections take place in the period from Thursday to Sunday in the first full week of June. Elections to the European Parliament take place every five years.

As «The Journalist» reported, a new united party of Gritsenko and Dobrodomov appeared in Ukraine.
