PM of Ukraine, Vladimir Groisman, said that privatization will become a strong anti-corruption step and will help the state-owned enterprises to find efficient owners.

«We will make a strong step up in fight against corruption and you will see its efficiency», – said Mr Groisman at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday, May 10.

He added that enterprises, which are strategic for the state, will not be sold.

«Our task is to competitively sell that, which is not strategically important for Ukraine. Strategic companies will remain state-owned», – Vladimir Groisman said.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a list of large enterprises, which includes 26 objects, for privatization in 2018.

Acting head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) Vitaliy Trubarov said, that 18 objects from the list are in the management of SPFU. As for the remaining large privatization facilities, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine manage three of them.

As «The Journalist» reported, PM Groisman is convinced that privatization will change the raw material type of the Ukrainian economy.
