President Donald Trump doesn’t plan to attend the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem next week. This was reported by The White House press center.
The delegation will be led by deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan, and includes Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s daughter, Ivanka with her husband, Jared Kushner.
In December 2017, Trump stated that he recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. He intended to relocate US embassy, located in Tel Aviv, to the Jerusalem.
The UN General Assembly, on December 21, adopted a resolution calling not to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
As «The Journalist» reported, the relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem started.
