The counter-battery radar 1L220UK has successfully passed the tests on April 8, SE Ukroboronprom reported.

Tests that took place at one of the ranges of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and have confirmed the 1L220UK’ tactical and technical characteristics, which significantly exceeds the counter-battery radars that are currently in service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The test radar is designed to carry out enemy artillery reconnaissance.

A powerful radar station detects projectiles, and a powerful digital system plans their trajectory.

“This allows Ukrainian defenders to determine at a distance of tens of kilometers the exact location of enemy guns, mortars, multiple rocket launchers, air defense missile systems and tactical missiles. This was made possible thanks to the counter-battery radar 1L220UK, which can be deployed a few dozen kilometers from the enemy’s position and observe the battlefield in the sector up to 180 degrees,” Ukroboronprom said.

As The Journalist reported, Petro Poroshenko took part in testing the Neptune missile system.
