Kyiv Solomensky District Court obliged National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to open criminal proceeding (misuse of public funds) against Andriy Parubiy, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian news reports.

On February 22, NABU received a statement on the violation committed by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada – under Article 210 (misuse of public funds, incur expenditures of the budget or provision of credit from the budget without established budgetary allocations or with their excess) and Article 364 (excess of official authority) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

However, information on the commission of criminal offenses was not included in the Unified Registry of the Pre-trial Investigations.

On this basis, court ordered NABU to open an investigation on the specified facts within 24 hours after receiving the court’s decision.

As The Journalist reported, NABU conducts searches in State Judicial Administration of Ukraine.
