A new command-and-staff vehicle BTR-3KSh, which is intended to control divisions in the conditions of the modern battlefield, has been created in Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukroboronprom state concern.
It is noted that the new vehicle based on the BTR-3 has been developed by Kyiv Armored Plant.
“The “heart” of the BTR-3KSh is the latest automated battle control system that combines all information transmitted via secured digital communications regarding the location of divisions, targets and means. An automated battle control system displays a full picture on tactical computers and ensures the rapid transfer of combat tasks and control of their execution,” the message says.
In addition, the BTR-3KSh has its own unmanned systems, which allows it to independently receive updated information. The BTR-3KSH used the UAV “Rama” made by General Aviation Design Bureau of Ukraine.
Also, the BTR-3KSh is equipped with the combat unit IVA-M designed by CheZaRa private enterprise. IVA-M is remote controlled light combat unit armed with a 12.7-mm machine gun, equipped with a day sights and thermal imaging sights [with a range finder] and a smoke screen setting system.
As The Journalist reported, Ukroboronprom found a shortage of components at amount almost UAH 50 million.
