On April 16, the militants launched nine attacks on the Ukrainian army positions. As a result, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ reported on Facebook.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian fortified positions near Hnutove, Talakivka, Maryinka, Shyrokine, Lebedynske and Novotroyitske settlements.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (“North”), the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Vilne and Zaitsevo Farms.
The militants used weapons, prohibited by the Minsk agreements, four times. Ukrainian positions came under fire of grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
“During the shelling, two Ukrainian defenders were injured. According to intelligence data, on April 16, three occupiers were killed, another four were injured,” the message says.
As The Journalist reported, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had repulsed the militants’ assault in the JFO area.
