Since April 5, 180 people died as a result of assault on Tripoli (Libya), The Guardian reported.

More than 800 people have been wounded since the commander of the Libyan People’s Army, Khalifa Haftar, began his attempt to seize the city of Tripoli.

The world community is calling for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but its escalation continues. On April 8, the Libyan air force launched an air strike on Al- Watiya Airbase south-west of Tripoli. Major General of the Libyan National Army Abdul Salam al-Hassi confirmed that the plane attempted to attack the military positions.

As The Journalist reported, the Italian government condemned military intervention in Libya.
