American political consultant Paul Manafort, convicted of tax and banking fraud, as well as other criminal cases, has been transferred to prison to serve his sentence.
This was reported by The Washington Post, with reference to the US Bureau of Prisons.
Manafort was taken to the U.S. Penitentiary at Canaan, Pennsylvania . He is set to be released in December 2024.
Note that the Kanaan prison is a high-security prison for men built in 2005.
