The fire and rescue divisions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) of the Kyiv garrison received 406 emergency calls about fires and emergency situations over the past week. Rescuers eliminated 239 fires, the press service of the State Emergencies Service in Kyiv reported.
The source reports that in April 22 – 28, the Kyiv firefighters extinguished 239 fires, 11 accidents, 14 times provided assistance to the population of the capital, 41 times – other services, 91 times went to false reports. During this period, 1 person died in fire, 5 people were injured and three people were saved.
“During the past week, the units of the State Emergencies Service of the Kyiv Garrison carried out 26 fire extinguishing departures in the city’s ecosystems. In total, 331 departures have been made since the beginning of the year and the fire has been eliminated on a total area of more than 127 hectares,” the statement said.
As The Journalist reported, a fire broke out in an abandoned cinema in Dnipro.
