The Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) will be ready to hold early parliamentary election if it will be announced in Ukraine.

This was stated by the CEC head Tetiana Slipachuk, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the head of the CEC, if the newly elected president decides to dissolve the Ukrainian Parliament, the CEC is ready to hold early elections.

“I think that if a relevant decision is made based on all legal grounds, we [CEC – ed.] have little chance of being unprepared,” said Slipachuk.

It is noted that the CEC has a question regarding the legislation that regulates the electoral process, the timeline and procedure for public procurement.

According to Slipachuk, due to the tight deadlines for the procurement in preparation for the extraordinary parliamentary elections, there will be a far greater problem during parliamentary elections than in a presidential election.

As The Journalist reported, CEC announced results of second round of elections of president of Ukraine.
