A new armored combat vehicle for the Marines Corps has been developed in Ukraine, Facts and Comments reports.
A new ‘Otaman’ combat vehicle was presented at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ihor Pavlovskiy, who endorsed its design.
‘Otaman’ is a six-wheeled armored vehicle. It weight more than 23 tons, and curb weight (without a combat module) is 18 tons. It equipped with a 558 hp diesel engine, an automatic transmission and a BM-3M “Sturm” combat module. Its armor could withstand shots received from 12.7 mm machine gun.
