The delegation of the high level will arrive at the inauguration of the newly elected president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said Kurt Volker, the special envoy of the US State Department for Ukraine.
He noted that he had met with Zelensky in February during the election campaign.
“The US delegation of the high level will visit the president’s inauguration in Kyiv, Ukraine. We are waiting for the announcement of the accurate date and then we will choose the members of the delegation. At those days I will try to meet with him in order to discuss the Donbas conflict and the steps, which could be implemented in order to bring peace to these territories again,” the BBC Russian service quotes Volker, as saying.
To the clarifying question who exactly will be the member of the US delegation, the US special representative answered “this will be the highest level of delegates, which suits the status of the inauguration of the head of state, which is the friend to the USA.”
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky was offered a new date of inauguration.
