Next week the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine will submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a budget declaration for 2020-2022.
Finance Minister Oksana Markarova said this at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) business forum.
According to Markarova, the Ministry of Finance will continue to implement the reform of the Fiscal Service, on privatization, openness and transparency in public finances, both at the state and local levels.
In addition, the minister said that the supervisory boards of Oschadbank and Ukreximbank should be formed as early as next week, and the Ministry of Finance will complete the preparatory process for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to enter Ukrgasbank.
Markarova also reminded that the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine adheres to the best practices of a balanced fiscal policy, which allows it to fully and timely service the debt, and that Ukraine managed to reduce it from 71.8% of GDP in 2017 to 60.9% of GDP in 2018.
