A preventive operation “Pirates” was carried out in Ukraine, which was aimed at identifying and preventing illegal activities in the field of intellectual property. This was told by the head of the Cyberpolice Department, Serhii Demediuk, press center of National Police of Ukraine Main Department reports.
“The end of the operation does not mean that work in this direction is stopped. We continue to carry out activities to identify the so-called pirates and are ready to interact with the right holders to respond to the facts of the violation of their rights. Therefore, we call upon the interested parties to cooperate in counteracting piracy,” stressed Serhii Demediuk.
It should be noted that 19 criminal proceedings have already been initiated on the facts of revealing copyright infringement.
