From May, the gas price for the population will be different, depending on the tariffs of gas distribution set by companies in each oblast, since the tariff for gas transportation is set at the same rate from May.
It is reported by the Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.
“Naftogaz, on the basis of a government decision, has lowered gas prices for May; it is obliged to sell gas to sales intermediary companies at UAH 5,990.00 per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), which is UAH 245.51 less than the price in April,” it was reported.
The company explained that from May 1, according to the decision of NKREKP, there is a single tariff for gas transportation throughout Ukraine – UAH 157 per thousand cubic meters, but each regional gas company has an individual tariff for distribution. Therefore, gas prices for the population will be different in each oblast and depend on the distribution tariff for the regional gas company or city gas company to which the consumer is connected.
The Association of the Gas Market of Ukraine published an analysis, according to which the retail price of gas for the population in May will differ among regions by 7-8%.
So the cheapest gas will be for consumers of Kyivgas company: they will pay UAH 7,810 per thousand cubic meters, Kremenchukgaz’s consumers will pay for gas UAH 7,820 per thousand cubic meters and Kharkivgorgaz will sell gas for UAH 7,879 per thousand cubic meters.
The most expensive gas (which means the highest tariff for distribution) will be for the consumers of Mykolaivgaz: the prise there is set at UAH 8,432 per thousand cubic meters, Chernivtsygaz set gas prices at UAH 8,424 per thousand cubic meters and Volyngaz – at UAH 8,412 per thousand cubic meters.
As The Journalist reported, residents of Ivano-Frankivsk region receive the highest quality gas.
