113 fires and 3 accidents were eliminated in the capital of Ukraine from May 13 to 19, the press service of the State Emergencies Service in Kyiv reported.
The source reports that the Fire Rescue Units of the Kyiv garrison arrived at the spot 227 times to eliminate fires and emergencies.
According to the ministry, during the week one person died in the fires, four more people were injured and three people were rescued.
“Rescue units assisted citizens 12 times and helped by providing other services to the residents of capital 27 times,” said in a statement.
It is noted that in a week, seven fires appeared on an area of 0.17 hectares of the city’s ecosystems. Since the beginning of the year, 335 arrivals at the spot have been made and fire has been eliminated over an area of 127.973 hectares.
As The Journalist reported, a fire occurred at a gas station in Zhytomyr: two people were injured.
