Some 146 settlements in five oblasts in Ukraine are de-energized due to bad weather conditions – strong wind, rain and hail. It is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.
“On the night of May 20 to 21, as a result of the complication of weather conditions (heavy wind, rain, thunderstorm), 146 settlements in five oblasts were de-energized after the power line safety system had been triggered: Lviv — 83 settlements, Ternopil — 23 settlements, Ivano-Frankivsk – 20 settlements, Chernivtsi – 12 settlements and Zhytomyr – 8 settlements,” said in the message.
Regional energy distribution companies have deployed their repair teams to eliminate the aftermath of the blackouts.
