Zelensky appointed Ivan Bakanov as SBU’s first deputy chief

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Ivan Bakanov as the first deputy chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Central Department of the SBU. This is stated in the decree number 316.

“To appoint Ivan Hennadiyovych Bakanov as First Deputy Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine and Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Central Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine,” the decree says.

It is known that Ivan Bakanov was the head of Kvartal 95 LLC, and since 2017 he has headed the Servant of the People party.
