The Fire Rescue Units of the Kyiv garrison of the State Emergencies Service arrived at the spot 256 times to eliminate fires and emergencies from May 20 to 26, the press service of the State Emergencies Service in Kyiv reported.
The source reports that last week, firefighters extinguished 113 fires, 6 accidents, providing other services to the residents of capital 14 times, 40 times to other services of the city, 74 times went to false calls.
The source notes that over the past week, one person was injured in the fires, no casualties reported.
“Also during the week, the divisions carried out 2 trips to extinguish fires in the city’s ecosystems. Since the beginning of the year, Fire Rescue Units arrived at the spot 336 times and eliminated fire on a total area of 127.977 hectares,” the statement reads.
In addition, during the week rescue workers of the Kyiv garrison arrived 20 times on mining reports of the city’s facilities. In total for 2019, 354 departures have already been made at the spot on mining reports in Kyiv. All trips were false.
