The presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has explained how the situation would develop if the parliament will not vote for the government’s resignation.
“If the resignation of the government will not be backed, in accordance with the procedure the government will work further,” the official said.
Stefanchuk recalled that the president does not have the authority to dismiss the current government, UNIAN informs.
“You know that this is a question of factions, a factional arrangement. Therefore, we sincerely hope that it will be voted. If not, then we will wait until July 21 [early parliamentary elections – ed.] so that we can legally lead the Servant of the People faction to the Verkhovna Rada and form a real government,” the presidential envoy to the Verkhovna Rada said.
At the same time, the acting Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said that the parliament will vote today for his resignation.
As The Journalist reported, Groysman will continue to work after Parliament’s decision on my resignation.
